Excavation Site & some sketches

Here's my latest picture:
I started with a traditional sketch with pen, scanned it and colorized it in Photoshop...
Here's the result:

These next four pictures are just plain pen & marker sketches from my sketchbook. Those are a great way to practice perspective, i think:

The last one is my first try to paint something with artist-watercolors:
I absolutely love the uncontroled way these colors spread on the paper.
The linework is done with pen.

Also, i recommend everyone who uses watercolors or something similar to give the 'Pentel Aquash' brushes a try. It's brushes with an 'integrated' watertank and you release the water by pressing the body of the brush. This makes outdoor sketching a LOT more comfortable!
